The Ministry of Federal Affairs and Ministry of Education will be holding two-day comprehensive training on ‘Developing change agent for quality education and good governance’ for both academic and administrative staff of Arba Minch University. 

The training commencing from 5th October, 2013, at Students Café, Main Campus will be inaugurated by the University President, Dr Feleke Woldeyes. The training will begin at 8.30 am till 5 pm, informs the Director of Strategic Planning and Evaluation & Implementation Directorate, Mr Abiot Tsegaye Kibret.

It is learnt that the aforesaid two ministries have organized this training for AMU as a part of their larger strategic program to orient all education institutions across Ethiopia emphasizing good governance for quality education. AMU will be facilitating the required logistics for the training, Mr Abiot averred.

Both ministries’ assigned delegates will impart training, focusing on the important issues of good governance, change management, how to tackle religious and ethnic extremism within the institutions and also to reinforce the significance about the guiding principle of democracy.
