First time in the history of AMU, university in a program has accorded a warm welcome to its 27 staff members for completing PhDs from across the world in different streams. This maiden event will set the precedent as AMU has decided to welcome such group in February every year for acquiring PhDs; for it will encourage future PhD aspirants, said, Academic Affairs Vice President, Dr Yechale Kebede.

Arba Minch University’s University-Industry Linkage and Technology Transfer Directorate has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with South Nations Nationalities and People’s Region Mines and Energy Agency for gemstones mining at Bonke woreda in Gamo Zone.

Institute of Technology’s Faculty of Mechanical & Production Engineering has hosted a daylong workshop to promote an undergraduate program – ‘Production Engineering’ across Ethiopia in the presence of all stakeholders including delegates from various industries on 30th March, 2019, at New Hall, Main Campus.
