About the 12th  International Symposium on "Research for Development"

The 12th  International Symposium on "Research for Development” is a premier academic gathering hosted by Arba Minch University. Scheduled for March 25, 2026, at Arba Minch, Ethiopia, this symposium serves as a multidisciplinary platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to share evidence-based insights aimed at fostering sustainable development.

1. Vision and Scope

The symposium aims to bridge the gap between rigorous academic research and practical developmental needs. By bringing together diverse perspectives from the social sciences and humanities, business & economics, law, and behavioral sciences, the event seeks to address complex global and local challenges through the lens of innovation and indigenous knowledge.

2. Core Thematic Areas

The symposium is deemed to be organized into four distinct technical tracks, covering a broad spectrum of developmental research:

·         Social Sciences & Humanities: Including population and environment, heritage management, good governance, indigenous knowledge, and land use modeling.

·         Business and Economics: Focusing on poverty and inequality, agriculture and rural development, sustainable tourism, and corporate social responsibility.

·         Educational & Behavioral Science: Addressing educational leadership, psychological issues in development, special needs education, and multicultural education.

·         Law: Examining human rights, criminal justice, transitional justice, and legal pluralism.

5. Submission Standards

All interested scholastic contributors must adhere to the following technical guidelines:

  • Abstracts: Maximum of 300 words.
  • Full Papers: Maximum of 8,000 words, formatted in Times New Roman (Size 12) with 1.5 line spacing.
  • Originality: All submissions must be original, unpublished works not currently under review elsewhere.
