Arba Minch University (AMU) hosted the 7th International Conference on Innovation and Challenges in Engineering and Technology for Sustainable Development at its Main Campus on May 08, 2026. The conference brought together scholars, researchers, and professionals to deliberate on innovative solutions and emerging challenges in engineering and technology for sustainable development. During the event, a total of 14 research papers were presented and extensively discussed, while presenters received certificates of recognition for their academic contributions. Arba Minch Water Technology Institute (AWTI), Arba Minch University (AMU), conducted a workshop with local farmers on the impact of small-scale irrigation on agricultural productivity in Fura Kebele, Meirab Abaya Woreda, on April 21, 2026. Arba Minch University (AMU) hosted the 12th International Symposium on Science for Sustainable Development at its main campus from April 17–18, 2026. The two-day event brought together researchers from universities across Ethiopia and abroad, along with participants from national institutes, representing diverse fields including agricultural sciences, health sciences, and natural and computational sciences. A total of 28 research papers were presented and discussed, while presenters and sponsors received certificates of recognition. The symposium was organized by AMU, co-hosted by the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE), and sponsored by the Ministry of Health of Ethiopia and the Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise (ECAE).
