He is currently a member of technical peer-review committees for more than 12 national and international journals and conferences. He is also advising more than 10 postgraduate students from different universities, including Arba Minch University, Wolaita Sodo University, and Werabe University. He received his PhD in the Computing and Information Technology Program (System and Information Security – AI in Cybersecurity) from Arba Minch University in June 2024. The working title of his dissertation is “Detecting Phishing Websites Using Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Feature Selection Techniques.” His research addresses important questions related to phishing website attacks from a socio-technical perspective. It develops a detection model using machine learning and deep learning techniques to improve accuracy while reducing false alarms and computational time, thereby enhancing the security of online users’ sensitive data. He has published one book chapter and five journal articles based on his dissertation in reputed journals. These publications can be used for replication studies, literature reviews, and future research. He is also the author of the book Fundamentals of System and Network Administration: Concepts and Technologies. He is the DevOps team lead for Global Map Aid (Ethiopia Groundwater Mapping for Wells & Irrigation | MapAid) on an AI project that hunts Shallow Groundwater for drinking water and irrigation, to boost food supply in Ethiopia.
