Admission Criteria for Undergraduate Program
Admission to all regular undergraduate programs is handled through the Ministry of Education (MOE) of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, a standard procedure for all public higher education institutions nationwide. Admissions to the continuing education program (CEP), however, are managed by the Arba Minch Water Technology Institute's academic commission, based on criteria established by Arba Minch University. Students with demonstrated proficiency in high school mathematics and physics are particularly well-suited for this faculty.
Admission Criteria for Postgraduate Program
The FMH’s postgraduate admission criteria generally require a Bachelor's degree (or Master's for PhD) with a minimum CGPA (often 2.00+), a strong academic record, letters of recommendation, and passing a university/departmental entrance exam (like the NGAT). English language proficiency (TOEFL/IELTS) might also be needed if English wasn't the medium of instruction.
