Following the feedback obtained from Federal Parliament Female Caucus, college of Natural Sciences has launched reading room for female students in Abaya campus library building. The library comprises reading room and fifteen computers meant for proposal development and research project activities.
During the inauguration ceremony Dean, College of Natural Sciences, Dr Alemayehu Hailemicael and Director of Gender office Ms Munit Mekuria declare the opening of the facility. Following this, the dean explained the preparation process, commitment and determination of the campus community to solve problems that can be addressed at college level.
Gender office director, Ms Munit Mekuria explained her appreciation for the immediate response of the college community to address issues raised during the consultative discussion sessions held for two days.
In the event, Abaya Campus registrar Mr. Yidnekachew Mare commented what the role of Girls’ club on sustainable utilization of the facility to be explaining the importance of membership in efficient utilization of the resources.
Female students on their side expressed their happiness on the timely and immediate response given by Abaya campus management following the feedback of the consultative meeting.
