AMU community strongly condemns killing of Ethiopians by ISIS

Arba Minch University condemns in the strongest terms the brutal killing of Ethiopian Christians by Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) terrorists in Libya. This barbaric act which has taken the toll of 30 innocent Ethiopian Christians shocked the university community beyond measure.

Minister lays foundation stone for AMU’s referral-cum-teaching hospital

Education Minister, Mr Shiferaw Shigute along with Arba Minch Town Administrator, Mr Tilahun Kebede, AMU Board Chairman, Mr Tagesse Chafo, AMU President, Dr Feleke Woldeyes and university top officials laid the foundation stone for 300-bedded Referral-cum-Teaching hospital at Secha, Arba Minch, on March 14, 2015. AMU’s Indian Expatriate teacher Bala passes away

Arba Minch University’s Indian expatriate teacher, Mr Balakrishnan Masanam Subbarayalu, who was working as senior lecturer with Institute of Technology’s Electrical Engineering Department from September 16, 2011, died of cardiac arrest on April 2, 2015, at Arba Minch, Ethiopia.
