PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project aims to strengthen the Moringa value chain in Wolaita and Gamo zones of southern Ethiopia by improving the technical and operational capacities of farmers and processors. It will enhance resilience and economic growth in vulnerable communities by equipping smallholders—especially women and youth with practical skills, while establishing local facilities to process moringa oil and powder using accessible, globally tested technologies. Beyond increasing production and value-added outputs, the initiative promotes equitable market systems, offering small farmers growth opportunities and contributing to reduced dependence on imported oils.
