 PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Capacity building of staff, students, farmers, and others associated with handling of agricultural produce is essential to reduce the skill and knowledge gap. Absence of required facilities and non-exposure of commercial farming or processing techniques leads to skill gaps. This can be minimized by capacity building. Focus will be laid on low cost and affordable technologies suiting to local conditions. Students will be exposed to practical training in the fields. Specifically, students of Food Science and Post-harvest management will be deputed to some commercial processing plants located in the country for a practical training.
