PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A field experiment will be conducted in the Southern Ethiopia during 2024/25 cropping season in two locations in the lowlands of Gamo Zone, South Ethiopia with the objective of evaluating the efficiency of herbicides and pesticides for effective management of broad leaf and grassy weeds and different pest of wheat, coffee and onion. The experiment will deal with the evaluation of standard herbicides/pesticedes compared against the tests. The experiment will be conducted using Randomized Complete Block three replications. Data on pest and growth and yield of crops will be collected and the level of loss due to damage will be analyzed and the efficacy will be determined. The best pesticide/herbicide will be recommended for registration.
