CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR POSTGRADUATE STUDIES

New and Returning Students

 

Arba Minch University (AMU) invites applications from qualified candidates for admission to its Master’s (Second Degree) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) (Third Degree) programs for the 2019 Ethiopian Academic Year (2026/27 G.C.), First Semester.

 

 

1.     Programs Available by Mode of Study

Master’s Programs: Regular, Weekend, Evening, and Summer modes of study

PhD Programs: Regular mode of study only

 

 

2.      Application Period

Ethiopian Calendar: Meskerem (ከመስከረም) 6–25, 2019 E.C.

Gregorian calendar: September 16–October 5, 2026 G.C

3.      How to Apply

Interested and eligible applicants must submit their applications through both of the following channels:

A. Online Application

Applicants must submit their applications through the official Arba Minch University (AMU) online application portal:

B. In-Person Application

Applicants may submit their applications in person at the Office of the Main Registrar, Arba Minch University Main Campus; Room number 210-212.

4.      Required Documents

Applicants are required to submit the following documents:

  • Original and copies of relevant academic credentials, including:
    • High school completion certificate
    • Degree certificate(s)
    • Academic transcript(s)
    • Grade 8 Ministry examination card/certificate
    • National Graduate Admission Test (NGAT) Certificate
    • Any other documents required by the respective postgraduate program.

 

5.      Available Postgraduate Programs

6.      Class Commencement

·         Classes begin on Meskerem 26, 2019 E.C. (October 6, 2026 G.C.).
