ዩኒቨርሲቲው በጋሞ ዞን ጋጮ ባባና በአርባ ምንጭ ዙሪያ ወረዳዎች በተከሰተው የመሬት ናዳና የጎርፍ አደጋ ምክንያት ለተፈናቀሉ ወገኖች ጥር 29/2012 ዓ/ም 150 ኩንታል በቆሎ ድጋፍ አድርጓል፡፡
በጋጮ ባባ ወረዳ በጋፄ ቀበሌ ልዩ ስሙ ሻሮ ንዑስ ቀበሌ ጥር 21/2012 ዓ/ም በጣለው ከባድ ዝናብ ናዳ ተከስቶ የ4 ሰዎች ህይወት ሲያልፍ 726 የቤተሰብ አባላት ከመኖሪያቸው ተፈናቅለዋል፡፡ በተመሳሳይ በአርባ ምንጭ ዙሪያ ወረዳ ጥር 26/2012 ዓ/ም በጣለው ከፍተኛ ዝናብ የሰጎ እና የሲሌ ወንዞች በመሙላታቸው በተከሰተው የጎርፍ አደጋ በቆላ ሸሌ፣ ሸሌ ሜላ እና ኤልጎ ቀበሌያት በንብረት ላይ ከፍተኛ ጉዳት ደርሷል፡፡ ምስሉን ለማየት

ዩኒቨርሲቲው ከፀጋ-ብሎት የኪነ-ጥበብ ማኅበር ጋር በመተባበር የ124ኛውን የአድዋ ድል መታሰቢያ በዓል ‹‹አድዋን እየዘከርን በፍቅር ጥላቻን እንግደል›› በሚል መሪ ቃል ከየካቲት 21-23/2012 ዓ/ም በተለያዩ ዝግጅቶች አክብሯል፡፡ ማስ ስፖርት፣ የጽዳት ዘመቻ፣ የአደባባይ ትዕይንት፣ የዝክረ-አድዋ የኪነ-ጥበብና ሥነ-ጽሑፍ ሥራዎች እንዲሁም የፓናል ውይይት የክብረ በዓሉ አካል ነበሩ፡፡
የመታሰቢያ በዓል ልዩ ፕሮግራሙን የከፈቱት የጋሞ የአገር ሽማግሌዎች አድዋ ኢትዮጵያ በጣሊያን ላይ የተቀዳጀችው ድል ብቻ ሳይሆን ለመላው ዓለም ኢትዮጵያዊያን ለአገራቸው ሉዓላዊነት የፅናትና የቆራጥነት ተምሳሌት እንደሆኑ ያስመሰከሩበት ታላቅ ገድል ነው ብለዋል፡፡ ምስሉን ለማየት እዚህ ይጫኑ

AMU along with Sahay Solar Association’s 10-day advanced training on photovoltaic marked the end of 2nd phase of Sahay Solar Project which till date has electrified 17 schools and 26 health centres in erstwhile Gamo Gofa zone. 19 students from Lucerne University of Applied Science and Arts, Switzerland, 24 AMU and 2 Jinka University staff members partook in it from 4th to 14th February, 2020, at Main Campus. AMU has commemorated the 124th anniversary of iconic Adwa Victory with tremendous enthusiasm and ardor at Main Campus on 2nd March, 2020. Many war veterans including men and women sporting their pips and gongs, Gamo elders draped in colorful ethnic attire, guests from different walks of life and AMU community graced the event.
