EFAC holds training for AMU graduating students

Ethiopia Federal Anti-corruption Commission (EFAC) has conducted a week-long training for Arba Minch University’s graduating students to create awareness against corruption in the society from 24th to 29th March, 2014.

AMU to create better ‘condition’ for physically-challenged students

Arba Minch University Students Support Service Directorate has recently held a meeting with all university physically-challenged students, to hear their grievances and to honor those select few who won gold, silver and bronze medals at Haramaya Sports Festival at Main Campus.

AMU, EHRC sign project agreement on Human Rights

Arba Minch University’s Law School and Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) have recently signed a project agreement; an extension of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed a year before to promote human rights in this region.

Weather & climate: Engaging youth, the theme of ‘World Meteorology Day’ celebration at Abaya Campus on 24th March, 2014, was rightly apt. As youth’s all pervading joie exuberance imbued everyone present with zing and chutzpah that sent the message loud and clear: If youth decide, they can move the mountain!

‘Capacity building training to have far-reaching effects

Such trainings are part of our community services, we have been reaching out to public through different ways and education is the best way. Earlier, we had trainings such as English speaking skills but this training is bit different as it has brought science teachers from surrounding schools together, said AMU President, Dr Feleke Woldeyes.
