Arba Minch University Senate in its communiqué released on October 30, 2019, has stated that four of its senior academic staff, who had applied for the position of Associate Professor, have been promoted with immediate effect; as supporting documents submitted by them have been duly evaluated and verified.

The office of Vice President for Research and Community Service, stated in its press communiqué that AMU will be hosting 3rd international edition of ‘joint field course’ in collaboration with KU Leuven, Belgium, ETH Zurich, Switzerland and Eldoret University of Kenya beginning from 17th to 30th November, 2019.
