Arba Minch University’s 28th Convocation conducted in the tastefully decorated Auditorium at Abaya Campus on 27th June 2015, has many firsts. Of this year’s 4400 graduates, 4287 were under and 113 post-graduates from 36 different streams. Of total pass-outs, 65% alone were from engineering streams while remaining 35% constituted other subjects.Click here to see the Pictures.

In order to avoid possible inconvenience to the near and dears, friends and well-wishers of the graduating students during Graduation Ceremony to be held at Abaya Campus on 27th June 2015, Arba Minch University has made the special arrangement of live telecast of the ceremony via YouTube and Digital signage screens installed at all campuses.

The symposium, ‘Science for Sustainable Development,’ generated much-needed synergy as participants from 25 universities intensely deliberated upon the importance of science from 19th to 20th June 2015 at new auditorium, Main Campus.
This two-day symposium was jointly organized by AMU’s three colleges, College of Natural Sciences, Agricultural Sciences and Medicine and Health Sciences purported to create a forum for exchange and discussion on sustainable development through science between scientists and researchers. To address the key environmental issues of land degradation and denudation of forest at Mirab Abaya, AMU’s Community Service Directorate has recently signed a yearlong Memorandum of Understanding with Gamo Gofa Zone Agricultural office at university Main Campus.
