Background information update
The executive office is established under and accountable for the office of vice president for administration and Development. And formerly under community service directorate office the office is known as University enterprises manager office doing community service activities mainly giving services for the community as a prime objective and collecting some revenues as income from producing and selling various agricultural products and providing facilities / in the form of rent. so therefore income was generated from selling agricultural products and rent but now production and selling activities are given for University Enterprise , what remain as an income generation activities is collecting rental fees alone.
At this point the duties and responsibilities of the office is doing any and all Wealth Development and Income Generation tasks across the university, all campuses in addition to rental incomes
Mission & vision of the office
The Wealth Development and Income Generation executive office has a mission of performing Wealth Developing and Income Generating duties and Responsibilities and a vision of creating a substantial amount of wealth of income that aids the university budget as internal financing source and hence fostering the university autonomy.
Main activities of the office
· Identifying resources that are idle, surplus or in excess of demand that can generate income.
· Strengthening, supporting, monitoring and evaluating existing income source units to make them effective.
· Administering, monitoring and evaluating rentals who give hospitality and entertainment service for using the university facilities.
· Initiating enterprises to be established by making business proposals to be written, taking and following up legal establishment processes, generally from business enterprise proposing to their establishment till they become independent.
